A Hand Truck, also known as a stack truck or trolley, is an L-shaped box-moving handcart with handles at one end, wheels at the base, and a small ledge to set objects on. When the Hand Truck is upright, the ledge is slid under the box or item to be moved, and then tilted forward, allowing the items rest on the ledge. Hand Trucks make large, heavy, and bulky objects much easier to move. A Hand Cart is similar to a Hand Truck in that it is used to transport heavy objects on a cart with wheels. The main difference is that a Hand Cart does not feature the ledge to slide under the heavy object. The item needs to be placed on the cart and can then be pulled or pushed to it's new location. Often times Hand Trucks are confused with Dollies. Basically a Dollie is a platform with wheels for mobility, however, they rarely have handles.
